E Hula Mau is having their 18th annual competition that will be taking place during Labor Day Weekend from Friday August 31st to September 2nd 2012. The E Hula Mau will be held at the Terrace Theater - 300 East Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA. About the Mahalo Bash Concert
On Saturday September 1st starting at 7:30PM at the Terrace Theater in Long Beach Willie K and the Kalama Brothers will be performing beautiful Hawaiian music. They will have available Hawaiian Music CD's that are on sale at the theater.
About Willie K.
Willie was raised on Maui and has been entertaining people with his music since the age of 10. He is a charismatic singer, songwriter, entertainer, and actor. Willie not only specializes in Hawaiian Music he can play Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Country, and Opera Music. He has performed with well renown artists like Willie Nelson, Prince, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Elvin Bishop, Bonnie Rait, Jackson Browne, Mick Fleetwood, George Benson, Jimmy Buffet, Simply Red and many more talented and famous artists and musicians.
Willie K first CD was released 1992 "Kahaiali'i" and now he has released new album "Warehouse Blues" that was launched September 2011.
About Kalama Brothers
Ryan and Kai are brothers who grew up in Southern California playing and singing a variety of music. They found a comfort in performing for audiences of all sizes. Whether sitting in an small group of friends playing acoustic melodies, or getting together with other band members and playing nightclubs and event stages, they are always crowd-pleasers.
Their talents go beyond their voices, as they play a variety of instruments to recreate cover songs that work with all ages. They also love to create their own originals, with music that suits the ears and lyrics that bring THE STORY home.
After years of playing rock-n-roll, soul, R & B and more, they have taken on a new challenge. The
Kalama Brothers just released their first Hawaiian CD under the Maui Tribe Records label with the amazing "Uncle" Willie K.
KEAU is the result of originals written by Ryan and Kai, as well as help from their late father, Ron on a couple of the songs. They are enjoying the journey back to their roots as they embrace the music that their father and uncle performed as the original Kalama Brothers. Now they are making an impact with their amazing harmonies, their musical talents, their fun personalities, and their all-around charm. The Kalama Brothers are taking their audiences on their journey with them as they entertain all ages through their music.
